Objective
To find a Middle School teaching position and use my teaching knowledge and skills as an ELA/History teacher, coach, and mentor to positively effect the educational, personal, and emotional lives of middle school students and help them rapidly improve their learning with high-quality, rigorous instruction. To find an opportuinty to use my experience and leadership skills to mentor, students and colleagues, and work to improve school culture and professional collegiality.

Grade 7 ELA/Humanities Teacher 2004- Present Lawrence Public Schools Lawrence, MA Plan and implement lessons in English/Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies using available technologies, texts, and resources; based on the MA Common Core Curriculum Frameworks, Lawrence Public Schools Essential Learning Outcomes. Using regular summative and formative assessments to drive instuction, I differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students, including Ell and Special needs inclusion students. Project based and research based Social Studies learning and cross- curricular connections to Math, Science, and Language Arts to provide a balance to the Middle School students. Regular use of varied positive behavior and classroom management techniques.
Pathways to Literacy -Family Literacy Teacher 2010 - Present G.L.C.A.C. Lawrence, MA Plan and implement after- school and evening class lessons for students Grade 3 - Grade 11 Provide Ell and Reading instruction and homework assistance. To plan and participate in Family Literacy training events/workshops for the families involved in the program.
READ 180 Reading Specialist 2005-Present Lawrence Public Schools Lawrence, MA Plan and implement Reading and writing lessons, Using Scholastics Read 180 for under-achieving middle students as an intervention program different from the Balanced Literacy program currently being used. Building based Read 180 resource person and new teacher trainer.
High School Credit Recovery Teacher 2008-2009 Lawrence Public Schools Lawrence, MA Plan and implement English and reading lessons for credit recovery high school students at the Lawrence High School Learning Center in the Evening School Intervention Program.
Shipping Dock Operations Supervisor 2000-2004 Staples, Inc Sharon, MA Responsibilities included: Routing/dispatching 35 delivery trucks and 40-50 personnel on daily delivery routes, Driver Safety and Package Tracking Trainer, and Building Safety Auditor. Responsible for all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, including maintenance, vendor, tracking and performance reports and files to maintain 99.5% on-time delivery.
